Hey everyone im pretty new to car systems, so please excuss my lack of knowledge .lol.

I've got 3 15inch 2ohm ZRS subs.. wat kinda mono amps do i need, i already have a 9000d 4500 watt amp on it.. 4 guaged everything.. i have an upgraded alt but i dont think it has thick wire on it.. not sure how many amps but i can findout.. an a yellow top battery.. says 1000 crankin amps on it.. not sure wat kind of battery though..

I was getting a second 9000d so my subs hit harder becuase for some reason when i had only 2 15's it seemed louder wired to the 1ohm amp..  now it doesnt sound like i even added a sub.. so will getting another amp solve my issues? any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Ok not sure if this will help any but I suspect that you probably have a decent voltage drop already and by adding another amp only thats not really going to do you much good because really you need to upgrade all of your wiring to 01/0awg second your going to need to get some better batteries and add at least 2 in the back now I bet you probably only have an optima yellow top upfront which is a decent battery but I would go with either powermaster or stinger and now as far as the three subs vs two Im guessing you switched boxes which will make it a whole different setup but I do wonder if you have a sealed box or is it vented if its sealed you should go with vented it should give you at least a 3 db gain if done right which is going to be quite a difference but once you get the batteries then I would think about the second amp oh also you need to upgrade your wiring from the aslt to your battery as well as the ground to your battery as well it should be 1/0 awg as well If you have any otther questions just ask

you can buy stinger bat's online at stingers web page just google or ebay it, you have 3 woofer setup with 1 amp has me curious how the subs are wired and how many voice coils they are (most 3 woofer set ups ive seen have been JL subs for their weird 3.3 ohmload coils) or MTX woofers the answer might be you need to add a 4th woofer or subtract a woofer take a ohm meter and check your ohm load from your woofers at the amp see if its 1 2 4 etc or if its 1.4 might just be a weird ohmload the amp is stuck in vertigo not sure how much power to make also to dog's mention of a ported inclosure  i would seriously do that specially since your pushing 15's more bang with less power (although your sub range is reduced)

another widely favored audio batery is kenetiks gel cell bats but they are costly
